Job Description Location: Tema, Ghana Department: Assembly Plant Reports To: Assembly Line Manager Zonda Tec Ghana Limited is a leading automobile assembly company in Tema, specializing in the assembly of Great Wall Motors, Chery, iCar, Haval, and Forland light-duty vehicles. We are committed to delivering high-quality, durable, and affordable vehicles to the Ghanaian market. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Light Duty Auto Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the final assembly, pre-delivery inspection (PDI), diagnostics, servicing, and repair of light-duty vehicles (SUVs, pickups, passenger cars, and light trucks). The role focuses on ensuring all vehicles meet manufacturer standards before they are delivered to customers or after sales service. Key Responsibilities Assist in the final assembly of knocked-down (CKD/SKD) units of Great Wall, Chery, Haval, iCar, and Forland vehicles. Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and safety systems are functional. Check and adjust fluid levels, tire pressures, battery connections, and torque settings on critical components. Use diagnostic scanners and manual tools to identify mechanical and electronic faults in petrol, diesel, and hybrid light-duty vehicles. Troubleshoot engine management systems, transmission issues, braking systems, steering, and suspension Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, belt inspections, and tune-ups. Repair or replace faulty components such as alternators, starters, radiators, fuel pumps, clutches, and exhaust systems. Overhaul engines and gearboxes as needed, following manufacturer specifications. Ensure all work complies with Zonda Tec’s quality standards and OEM guidelines for Great Wall Motors, Chery, Haval, iCar, and Forland. Complete job cards, repair orders, and inspection checklists accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment in line with HSE policies. Report recurring faults or assembly line issues to the supervisor for process improvement. Required Skills or Experience Qualifications & Experience Minimum of Automobile Technician Certificate (Part II or III) from a recognized institution (e.g., NVTI, GTVET, or technical university). Diploma in Automotive Engineering is an added advantage. At least 2–4 years of hands-on experience working on light-duty vehicles (SUVs, pickups, sedans). Prior experience with Chinese automotive brands (Great Wall, Chery, Haval, Forland, or similar) is an added advantage.
