Read more about this company Event Assistant Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND , OND Experience 1 - 2 years Location Lagos Job Field Art / Crafts / Languages   Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Event Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of events, as well as assist with related operations such as hall setup and equipment rentals. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and on-ground support to ensure events run smoothly while maintaining high service standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Event Planning Support: Assist in planning and coordinating events from concept to execution. Support in preparing event timelines, checklists, and schedules. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers as directed. Assist in sourcing materials, décor items, and equipment. Event Execution: Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operations. Assist with event setup and breakdown, including hall arrangements and equipment placement. Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, operations, rentals) during events. Handle last-minute issues and provide immediate solutions under supervision. Administrative Duties: Maintain records of bookings, client requests, and event details. Assist in preparing quotations, invoices, and event documentation. Follow up with clients and vendors regarding event requirements. Support general office and coordination tasks. Client & Vendor Coordination: Communicate with clients to understand basic event requirements. Support relationship management with vendors and partners. Ensure all client requests are accurately documented and executed. Logistics & Inventory Support: Assist in tracking event materials and rental equipment. Ensure proper handling and return of rented items. Support inventory checks before and after events. Requirements Minimum of OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field. 1–2 years experience in event planning, hospitality, or administrative support (NYSC experience acceptable). Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Willingness to work on-site during events. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
