Job Description

Lead the maintenance of all electrical installations within the LFHC facility while also providing general services support as required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Electrical and General Services

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

Be involved in Installation of electrical equipment (even when led by third party suppliers).

Proactive/Preventive fault finding on electrical systems.

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.

Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

Provide preliminary cost estimates for materials and services.

Responsible for safety and housekeeping  

Attend to any site related queries as required.

Crematorium

Assist with operating cremation equipment following all laid down processes and standards

Ensure creation chamber is in proper working order  

Assist with carrying out cremations as scheduled 

Required Skills or Experience

Education and Experience  

Appropriate certification in Electrical/Technical Science 

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Technician 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Empathy to treat human remains with respect and decorum.

Proactive

Well organized and tidy

Strict adherence to all health and safety requirements

Strict confidentiality
