Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash.

We’re solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don’t always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across 9 countries and are growing fast.

How you’ll help us achieve it

We’re looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and people-oriented Merchant Distribution Supervisor with strong management skills. In this role, you will lead and support a team of field merchant distributors responsible for promoting the “Payez avec Wave” payment solution and driving new payer acquisition.

In this role, you’ll

• Be responsible for Payez avec Wave user acquisition in a given area.

• Be in a key position to implement Wave’s rapid growth strategy.

• Managing a team of 25-50 merchant distributors.

• Onboard and train new merchant distributors to ensure they can perfectly subscribe, assist, and guide users according to the company’s values.

• Work closely with Territory and Regional Leads to plan distribution activities in a given area and follow up.

• Monitoring daily distributors’ performance.

• Giving feedback to our product team and engineers to improve the distribution process and user experience.

• Work closely with our Below the Line Marketing Team to ensure Wave has a visible presence in Senegal.

Key details

• Location: You will be located up-country in Senegal, but you may be relocated to other parts of the country.

• Work authorization: Senegal.

• This is a permanent contract position.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in sales & merchant distribution.

• University degree (Bac + 2 Minimum).

• Good computer skills.

• Fluent in French & English.

• Experience in Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage.
