Owner led accounting business, who assist businesses with managing their accounting & finances, thereby helping them to manage their businesses. Based in Cape Town, with a well-managed business.

Expérience

We are looking for a stable accounting graduate – newly qualified or with 1 – 2 years working experience (preferably in a small company not a large corporate) - to join our small client serving team. You will be responsible for: Performing customer accounts on Xero Liaising with customers re their business and assist them in making financial decisions Assisting customers in managing their businesses through managing the figures Assist in growing the business in terms of looking for opportunities Keeping accurate records Compilation of financial statements Review of financial statements Agreed upon procedures performance Payroll, bookkeeping and VAT review of entries as captured by colleagues

Localisation

Review of client bookkeeping allocations Perform reconciliations Filing of tax returns and SARS systems (Income tax/VAT/ PAYE/ Donation tax/ WHT/ etc What does it take to successfully undertake this role? A completed B.Com (Accounting)

• 1 – 2 years post article working experience – optional (must be in a small company environment preferably) Good team player Wanting to not just be a number cruncher, but wanting to make a difference to small businesses Friendly Clear pronunciation and well spoken

Very organised Accurate Experience in interacting with customers Excellent PC literacy Confident personality Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS for SME's Comprehensive knowledge of VAT Act

Comprehensive knowledge of PAYE calculations and related submissions Understanding of budgeting and cash flows Able to analyse data effectively and apply a risk based approach to reviews Problem solving and constructive conflict resolution Ability to manage time Ability to transfer knowledge to colleagues and manage junior team effective communication to clients Ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure client service delivery expectations are met Characteristics we are looking for: Enthusiasm - WANTS to work Accuracy Trustworthy – able to handle confidential transactions
