We are a reputable Oil Exploration and Production Company with active operatorship of prolific blocks and Oil and Gas Assets in the Niger Delta. As a result of our new expansion and development programmes, we are seeking to engage experienced, passionate and resourceful candidates in the capacity below: Job Title: Senior Drilling Engineer Location: Nigeria Job Summary The Ideal candidate must have good knowledge of Operational and Technical Practices in an E&P company. He is expected to have Vast Experience in drilling operations. The candidate must be able to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, working in a team environment. Responsibilities Plan, organize, coordinate and optimally manage the implementation of the Company’s drilling operations, ensuring design and well activities are optimized, understood, planned, resourced and managed within agreed times and budgets Provide forward activities forecast and requirements for continuous activities on the drilling rigs’ operations. Manage the Company’s HSE policy and procedure for drilling and well completions. Review cost estimates and controls for drilling and completion activities. Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot major drilling challenges. Coordinate the preparation of drilling and testing programmes, including equipment specification and selection, vendor selection, as well as flow modelling, and stress analysis, etc., for planned jobs Requirements Minimum Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in a core engineering discipline with not less than 15 years of experience and at least 5 years in a managerial position in a reputable E & P company. A Master’s Degree or its equivalent will be an added advantage. Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multi-tasking team. Must be result-oriented and committed to company goals. Must be capable of representing the company with regulatory and government agencies. Must have working knowledge of commonly used and relevant drilling, operations and production management software. Must have experience in field development plans, execution and management. Liaise with project partners, such as geologists and drilling contractors, etc, in order to keep up-to-date on all developments that may have an impact on drilling activities.
