Job Description

Financial Assistant required in Brackenfell, Cape Town. A very well-established company within the printing and packaging industry is looking for a Financial Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in Brackenfell, Cape Town.

Expérience

Compensation package of R 23,000 – R 27,000 on offer plus (subject to background and/or experience) and internal career advancement opportunities. Position Overview: Our client is seeking a candidate that will be confident, analytical, and comfortable asking the hard questions to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.

The successful candidate must be proficient in Pastel, Xero, and have strong Microsoft Excel skills. Position Responsibilities: Cashbook processing and bank reconciliations Debtors processing and account management Creditors processing and supplier management Creditors reconciliations Journal processing (including month-end journals) Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures Preparation of management reports

VAT calculations and submissions Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records Resolving account queries and discrepancies Assisting with audit preparation and supporting documentation Ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies Supporting the Financial Manager with ad hoc financial tasks and reporting Cashbook processing and bank reconciliations Debtors processing and account management Creditors processing and supplier management Creditors reconciliations Journal processing (including month-end journals) Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures Preparation of management reports VAT calculations and submissions Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records Resolving account queries and discrepancies Assisting with audit preparation and supporting documentation Ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies Supporting the Financial Manager with ad hoc financial tasks and reporting
