The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective data management and compliance with IOM policies. Organizational Context and Scope Under the direct supervision of the Regional Director (RD) and close collaboration with the Deputy Regional Director Management (DRDM), Deputy Regional Director Operations (DRDO), Regional Project Development Officer (RPDO), and Risk Management and Compliance Officer, the Information Management Officer will support the design, development, maintenance and improvement of an Information Management System (IMS) for the Regional Office (RO) in Panama City, support data-driven decision making and enhance information management systems and capacities in the region. Responsibilities 1. Support the design, development, rollout and continuous improvement of a regional Information Management System (IMS) to consolidate, automate and improve the analysis and visualization of operational and financial data across the Region; 2. Support the development and maintenance of accompanying documentation and train others in the use of the system; 3. Closely coordinate with relevant colleagues in the Region to identify information gaps and support the design and development of solutions to address the identified data analysis requirements; 4. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate reporting, analysis and visualizations to improve efficiency and data quality; 5. Contribute to the development of analytical products, periodic regional summaries and reports, as well as ad-hoc data analysis to facilitate evidence-based decision making; 6. Support the assessment of IM systems and capacities in IOM Country Offices across the Region and identify opportunities to improve systems and capacities, harmonise systems and approaches, and improve efficiencies and data accuracy through automation and the use of innovative digital solutions; 7. Facilitate the creation of a regional IM community of practice to enhance knowledge sharing, harmonisation and efficiency; 8. Provide technical support, training and guidance to different Country Offices in the Region in the development and implementation of information management activities; 9. Support interoperability between regional systems and global IOM platforms (e.g. PRIMA, WAVE) and frameworks, as well as compliance with IOM ICT and Data Protection policies; 10. Support the training of designated staff to strengthen capacity in the development and maintenance of the IMS, contributing to the continuity and sustainability of the ownership of the system by the RO over time; and, 11. Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications and Experience Education •  Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Media or Social Sciences, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or, •  Bachelor’s degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
