This role sits right at the heart of cloud operations, keeping critical workloads running smoothly while continually levelling up the platform behind them. Hybrid setup, modern tooling, and a real say in how things are built and run.

CORE FOCUS

This Azure Engineer role centres on running Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) at proper scale in a highly regulated, high-availability environment. Think multi-region, disaster recovery, strict security controls, and workloads that really matter. It’s all about building, operating, and improving a rock-solid platform rather than just “keeping the lights on”.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and operate AKS clusters across multi-region production and disaster recovery environments Design and implement high-availability, failover, and DR strategies that actually get tested, not just documented Manage node pools, autoscaling, upgrades, and workload isolation across multiple environments Implement secure Kubernetes patterns including RBAC, OIDC, network policies, and smart namespace design Build and maintain backup and recovery strategies using Kasten K10 Engineer and troubleshoot complex Azure networking (VNETs, NSGs, private endpoints, ExpressRoute, peering) Automate infrastructure and operations using Bicep/ARM, Bash, PowerShell, or Python Lead incident response, drive root cause analysis, and feed learnings back into platform improvements Create clear, practical runbooks and technical documentation that others actually want to use

TECH STACK & ENVIRONMENT

Expect to spend your time deep in AKS in multi-region, production-grade environments Azure networking across hybrid and private architectures Kasten K10 for backup, restore, and DR patterns Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and ARM templates Linux (Ubuntu / RHEL) administration and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies, including blue/green approaches

Expérience

• 3+ years hands-on experience with AKS or production Kubernetes Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, networking, and security fundamentals Solid Linux administration experience (services, networking, performance) Deep Azure knowledge: networking, RBAC, policy, and Infrastructure as Code Proven experience managing production incidents and driving true root cause resolution

NICE TO HAVE

CKA / CKAD or Azure certifications such as AZ-104 Experience with Helm and advanced deployment strategies Exposure to enterprise networking and security tools (e.g. Fortinet, Palo Alto) Background in regulated or compliance-driven environments Familiarity with service mesh or cluster governance models
