The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) regional delegation is opening a full-time position for a Data & Analysis Manager , based in Warsaw.
The ICRC is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC also endeavors to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening international humanitarian law (IHL) and universal humanitarian principles.
The ICRC regional delegation in Poland contributes to the ICRC’s humanitarian response to the international armed conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine in the countries bordering Ukraine, Belorussia and Russia, helping reunite families separated by the conflict, supporting the work of the National Red Cross societies, working with national authorities, and strengthening respect for international humanitarian law and humanitarian principles.
Purpose of the position:
The Data & Analytics Manager oversees protection data management to enable evidence-based decisions and improve data entry, quality, support and analytics. The role ensures the implementation of protection data and documentation policies and procedures, and manages internal and external information to support ICRC protection activities.
The position works with ICRC protection tools (e.g., Prot6, FLA, REACH, SFE, MediaHub) and supports the rollout and follow-up of Family Links Answers during the handover of RFL files to National Societies (NS) in the region. The role also contributes to the implementation and monitoring of Protection of Family Links activities, as well as to the archiving of protection actions across the delegation’s area of reponsability.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Implement protection data and documentation policies and procedures across the Regional Warsaw Delegation to support operations and evidence-based decision-making.
Manage and maintain protection data in corporate systems (e.g., Prot6), ensuring accurate entry, updates, confidentiality and timely reporting.
Monitor and improve data quality through regular checks, cleaning, dashboards and corrective actions; analyse trends and share findings.
Produce statistics, analysis and data extracts to support protection teams, institutional reporting, planning and follow-up of activities and cases.
Ensure proper filing, archiving and transmission of protection records and documents (including timely sharing with Geneva).
Support adoption and effective use of protection ICT tools, including guidance, training and user support.
Act as focal point for Family Links Answers (FLA): support National Societies, manage requests, maintain documentation and contribute to deployment, configuration and data migration.
Liaise with protection teams, IM and regional counterparts to ensure coherent data flows and continuity across systems and delegations.
Contribute to development and continuous improvement of data models, procedures, workflows and templates.
Support organization of the Protection Office and management of individual case information and RFL statistics.
Travel within the region as required, including missions to National Societies and Moldova.
Professional experience and education required
University degree in information management, data analytics, social sciences or a related field.
3–6 years of relevant professional experience, ideally with humanitarian or international organizations.
Strong understanding of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
Strong experience with databases and data tools.
Experience managing sensitive or personal data with strict confidentiality and data protection standards.
Ability to analyse data and translate findings into clear reports and operational insights.
Excellent organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
Fluency in Polish and English (spoken and written).
Polish or another language from the region is a strong asset.
Proficiency in MS Office and collaborative tools.
Availability to travel within the region.
