Candidate Requirements:

University degree in computer science or related field

Four years of relevant experience or six years with a school diploma

Experience in .NET software development (C#, ASP.NET)

Minimum two years in web-based database applications

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SSMS

Fluency in English (oral and written)

Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 are advantageous

Organizational Context and Scope Under the direct supervision of the Information Management Officer (CRM) for  Resettlement Support Center  for the Middle East and North Africa (RSC MENA) , and overall supervision of the RSC MENA Project Manager , the incumbent will be responsible for implementing the activities related to information management and systems’ development required by IOM programmes. Specifically, the incumbent is expected to perform the following functions:

Responsibilities

 Gather and document user requirements, analyse business processes, create prototypes to confirm requirements,  customize, code, test, and deploy .NET applications.

 Maintain and optimize the performance, document, and support both existing and new   applications (platforms : dot net , power platform, dyanmics 365…. )

Train users to  facilitate productive use of the applications. 

 Support the configuration, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of applications and databases.

Create, manage, and maintain database objects to be used for applications and reports.

Implement software development SOPs  including source control, backup, recovery, and issue tracking using IOM standard tools.

Respond promptly within accepted timeframes to application’s user support and enhancement requests  facilitating continued operation of the said applications.

Timely report needs and progress on issues in his/her area of responsibility to direct supervisor.

Supports the confidentiality and integrity of all RSC-related information by following control procedures in line with USRAP standards of conduct and data protection rules. 

Maintain and ensure confidentiality of data in accordance with IOM Data protection rules and principles as guided by the IOM standards of conduct; and

Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Experience Education

University degree in computer science with four years of relevant experience, or

School diploma with six years of relevant experience 

Accredited Universities are those listed in the  UNESCO World Higher Education Database. Experience

 Experience in .NET software development (particularly on C#, ASP.NET) with SQL Databases and a minimum of two years of experience in developing web-based database applications and thin-client Web-based applications.

Experience working with specialized international agencies (UN Agencies, International Organisations, and International NGOs) and in complex operations, including conflict and post-conflict situations preferred.

Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform ( Power Apps, Power FX, Power Automate, Power BI), SharePoint Administration or Data Visualization tools are a distinct advantage.

Certification in Dynamics 365 is a distinct advantage

Skills

Knowledge on software development, particularly the use of C# and .Net Framework

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher, SQL Reports Server, and experience in using SSMS.
