Travel & Events Intern, Nairobi, Kenya Organization: BURN Manufacturing (BURN) Country: Kenya City: Nairobi Office: BURN in Nairobi About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and highly dependable Travel & Events Intern to support our Travel Coordinator in managing the end-to-end coordination of business travel and event logistics. This is a high-pressure role that requires exceptional responsiveness, trustworthiness, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless travel experiences for staff and partners across multiple regions. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in booking domestic and international flights, accommodations, visas, ground transport, and other travel logistics. Coordinate event logistics, including venues, catering, and travel arrangements for attendees. Prepare and update travel itineraries, schedules, and related documentation. Respond to travel-related queries promptly and conduct timely follow-ups until closure. Maintain organised records of bookings, payments, and reports. Liaise with airlines, hotels, travel agents, and internal stakeholders. Support in generating weekly/monthly travel reports. Skills & Experience Diploma in Tourism & Travel Management. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good computer proficiency (MS Office Suite; travel or booking platforms a plus). Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. High level of integrity and trustworthiness — must handle company and employee sensitive travel data responsibly. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong time management and organisational skills. Experience in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment. Exposure to flight booking processes or working with travel agents/airlines.
