Plant Manager in the agriculture sector is responsible for overseeing the operations of the plant facility , ensuring efficient and effective production processes to meet quality standards and production targets. They provide leadership to the plant team, implement operational strategies, and maintain a safe working environment. The Plant Manager plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and contributing to the overall success of the organization. Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. Develop and implement operational plans and strategies to optimize plant performance and achieve production targets. Production Management: Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer demand and quality standards. Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance programs and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions. Maintenance and Reliability: Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and availability of plant equipment and facilities. Schedule preventive maintenance tasks and address equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to support production schedules. Ensure accurate inventory tracking and reconciliation to minimize inventory discrepancies. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all plant employees. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to address potential hazards. Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the plant team, including supervisors, operators, and technicians. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the plant. Budget Management: Develop and manage the plant budget, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and cost control initiatives. Monitor spending and identify opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining operational efficiency.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field. Master's degree is preferred.

Expérience

Proven experience (X years) in plant management or manufacturing operations, preferably in the agriculture sector. Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and technologies. Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
