Working closely with senior management, the successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, assisting with menu development, maintaining food quality and presentation standards, and ensuring smooth service across all meal periods. The role carries responsibility for contributing to stock management and ordering processes, upholding health, safety, and hygiene standards, and playing an active part in the development and mentorship of junior kitchen staff. The ideal individual is someone who leads by example - equally comfortable at the pass and in the prep kitchen - with a genuine passion for great food and an understanding of what it takes to deliver consistently in a quality hospitality environment. Expérience

• A minimum of 4–5 years' solid kitchen experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or sous chef capacity within a quality hotel, lodge, or fine-dining restaurant environment
• Formal culinary qualification is advantageous, though relevant experience will be considered
• Proven ability to contribute to menu planning and to execute dishes with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail
• Demonstrated involvement in stock control, food costing, and ordering procedures
• A track record of working effectively within a team, including guiding and supporting junior kitchen staff
• Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with an up-to-date or attainable Food Safety certification
• Strong organisational ability and the capacity to remain composed and effective during high-volume service periods
• A genuine enthusiasm for local, seasonal, and farm-influenced cuisine will be a distinct advantage
• A self-motivated, growth-oriented mindset with the drive to take on increased responsibility over time
