JOB SUMMARY Minimum Requirements:BSc Engineering or equivalent tertiary education3-5 years as a Section Engineer ideally in an FMCG companyExperience with modern asset management systems is essentialPrevious exposure in brewing or similar process RESPONSIBILITIES Asset Care:Partake in the development of the asset care plan for the brewing, contributing suggestions and providing expert adviceImplement the asset care plan for the brewing, ensuring the engineering team have the required competenciesEnsure that asset care goals are incorporated into engineering team and individual goalsAudit compliance to the asset care program by both the engineering team and shift based teamsEnsure that asset care competencies are developed in the engineering teamPlant Reliability:Responsible for the overall reliability and uptime of brewing plantLead the engineering team in the provision of asset care and engineering support to the shift-based production teamsVerifies that engineering team are carrying out routine and planned maintenance and validates quality of workVerifies that the maintenance systems are working properly, and that data integrity and information accuracy maintainedReviews plant reliability to ensure equipment is operating optimally and to identify problems or opportunities timeouslyPlant Optimisation:Takes part in regional and central office plant optimisation trials, providing advice, assistance and guidance where requiredEvaluates impact of new plant and equipment and signs off all plant modifications and changesAnalyses plant performance data to identify opportunities for improvement to plant performance, and initiates opportunity evaluationTeam Leadership:Lead the engineering team in a manner that engenders ownership, empowerment and team interactionLead the development of engineering team goals and ensure these are communicated and understood by team membersConducts regular engineering team goal review session and conduct regular one-on-one and performance reviewsEnsure training need analyses are conducted and training plans developed for team membersSafety And Housekeeping:Ensure that the engineering team apply proper safety and housekeeping procedures and adhere to all legal requirement when carrying out their tasksEnsure implementation of the appropriate SAB and legislative policies (such as OSH act) on safety and housekeepingEnsure that safety and housekeeping receive appropriate focus through regular checks and safety audits REQUIRED SKILLS Compliance, Engineering, Safety systems, Team leadership REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's degree
