PROTECTION MONITOR TEAM LEADER

S/he is responsible for ensuring the overall implementation of activities to monitor and respond to the protection/human rights situation of people affected in the area of concern, while meeting quality standards. S/he supervise protection monitor teams’ day to day work, providing support in conducting mobile field visits to villages, camps and other urban settlements, assessing the security situation and facilitating access whenever needed. Tasks include: developing protection monitoring methodology and analysis, coordinating day-to-day protection monitoring activities, facilitating access to affected communities, conducting field participatory protection monitoring activities, enhancing discussion on protection concerns, building capacity of Protection Monitors, identifying/reporting/referring protection cases, submitting activity plans and reports, and representing the organization at coordination meetings. Requirements: University degree in social sciences or related field, minimum 2 years humanitarian experience (including 1 year in NW/SW regions), leadership and team management skills, IT proficiency, fluency in English and Pidgin English.
