Job description Introduction:

The Spray Painter will be responsible for surface preparation and application of protective coatings and paint systems on vessels and marine structures during drydock maintenance and repair operations. The successful candidate will ensure all painting work is completed to required quality, safety, and industry standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, blasting, and masking

Apply primers, coatings, and paint systems using spray-painting equipment

Perform painting and coating work on vessels, machinery, and marine structures

Ensure correct paint mixing and application according to specifications

Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards

Maintain spray-painting equipment and tools in good working condition

Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures during all painting operations

Assist with maintenance and repair activities within the drydock environment

Maintain a clean and organised work area

Required Qualifications and Experience: Mandatory:

Valid Trade Test Certificate

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience related to drydock maintenance requirements
