Job Description

The WASH Officer will be based in Makary, responsible for implementing WASH activities and supervising the rehabilitation of school infrastructures. This role requires technical expertise in WASH and construction to ensure compliance with quality and humanitarian standards. The officer will collaborate with program teams, local authorities, and communities to integrate WASH norms in schools and ensure rigorous monitoring of civil works. The position involves planning, managing activities, and reporting on progress while fostering local capacity building. University degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulics, WASH, Construction or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in construction supervision and/or WASH projects Experience in humanitarian or development projects preferred Good knowledge of WASH standards in schools Fluency in French and English; local languages preferred Knowledge in civil engineering and construction supervision Familiarity with SPHERE standards and WASH norms Project management skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively Team spirit and flexibility
