Job Summary

Key Responsibilities: Manage the full reefer export process from booking to vessel departure Liaise with customers, shipping lines, transporters, packhouses, and regulatory authorities Prepare and verify export documentation (Bills of Lading, Phytosanitary, Certificates of Origin, SAD500, etc.) Monitor cold chain integrity and ensure correct container settings for temperature, ventilation, and humidity Coordinate with customs agents, export boards, and port authorities to resolve delays or documentation issues Maintain compliance with export regulations and minimize demurrage/detention costs Provide clients with accurate shipment status reports and track container turnaround times Requirements: Matric with Mathematics; diploma/degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade advantageous 5–7 years’ experience in reefer/perishable cargo exports, with strong documentation knowledge for Far East and Middle East markets In‑depth understanding of reefer container operations, cold chain logistics, Incoterms, and South African export procedures Familiarity with perishable cargo handling (citrus, grapes, meat, dairy, pharmaceuticals) Proficiency in export documentation systems and EDI platforms (e.g., AgrigateOne, Paltrack, ShipShape) Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills under pressure Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Personal Attributes: Self‑motivated, disciplined, and detail‑oriented Strong time management and coordination skills Team‑oriented with leadership potential Innovative, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
