Job Description

The National Knowledge Management Specialist for the SSTC Sahel Project will coordinate and provide technical support for knowledge management across five countries in the Sahel region. This role involves capturing, organizing, and disseminating project knowledge, developing a functional KM repository, and producing high-quality learning products. The specialist will facilitate internal learning and knowledge sharing, ensuring that KM inputs are integrated into project reporting and decision-making. The position is based in Accra, Ghana, and requires collaboration with various FAO units and stakeholders. Advanced university degree in communications, journalism, development studies, or related field At least 5 years of experience in communication, knowledge management, or outreach Working knowledge of English (level C) National of Ghana Intermediate knowledge of French is an asset Familiarity with FAO, UN, and donor visibility rules Experience in agriculture or development projects is an asset Demonstrated experience in managing knowledge systems Strong analytical and synthesis skills Proven ability to develop knowledge products Experience facilitating learning sessions or cross-country exchanges
