Job Description

The Individual Consultant will lead a study to estimate maternal morbidity prevalence and incidence in Ghana under the guidance of the Country Representative and the Reproductive Health Unit. This role involves conducting a maternal morbidity burden study, training data collection staff, coordinating with the Technical Working Group, and presenting findings to stakeholders. The consultant will also submit a comprehensive report on the study's outcomes. This position is crucial for addressing the challenges of maternal morbidity in Ghana and contributing to the UNFPA's mission of improving maternal health. Medical Degree - MB ChB or equivalent Postgraduate training in public health or related areas 10 years experience in maternal health Strong understanding of Ghana's health care system Experience in public health research and stakeholder engagement Ability to deliver analytical reports Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluency in English and any local language
