Key Responsibilities

• Health and Safety officer RIVINGO TRADING PTY LTD Bloemfontein , South Africa Job description We are looking to employ a qualified and competent safety officer who will be responsible for the health and safety of staff in the workplace

• The safety officer will compile safety programs Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations

• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits

• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventative measures

• Monitor and control the issuing and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Support emergency preparedness planning, fire safety compliance, and evacuation drills

• Participate in internal and external SHE audits

Required Profile

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• Expérience Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related qualification

• SAMTRAC qualification (advantageous)

• Registered with SACPCMP as a Safety Officer (advantageous or required depending on project/site)

• 5 years' experience in a Safety Officer role within a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong knowledge of OHSA and relevant health and safety legislation

Additional Information

• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; compile reports and recommend corrective actions

• Maintain accurate safety records, registers, and documentation

• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and awareness campaigns
