BRAC Microfinance (SL) Limited is seeking applications from competent, dynamic, and self-motivated individuals to fill up the following position. Position : Manager, Social & Environmental Performance Number of Position : One (1) Job Location : BRAC Microfinance (SL) Limited Country Office MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Through related partnerships (60 Decibels, etc.), manage the measurement of poverty outreach and clients’ social impact, and ensure the use of impact data for achievement of the social mission. Drive progress and performance along BRAC Sierra Leone’s outreach and outcome goals, supporting BRAC Sierra Leone’s (BMSLL) leadership to set and achieve impact-based outreach and outcome targets and action plans. Work closely with BMSLL’s leadership to distill and communicate outreach, outcome, and overall impact results to internal and external audiences. Lead the implementation of Universal Standards of Social and Environmental Performance Management (USSEPM) and Client Protection (CP) Standards at BRAC Sierra Leone. Lead social and environmental performance audits (using SPI5), client protection assessments, dropout surveys, and other evaluations related to social performance, ensuring the development of appropriate action plans to address identified gaps. Conduct regular field visits to assess branch-level practices. Identify operational gaps and provide hands-on support to staff to ensure field-level execution aligns with institutional standards. Ensure all new projects, products, and delivery channels are client-centric and strategically aligned with BRAC International Microfinance (BI MF)  strategic priority areas. Guarantee that product design meets the evolving needs and preferences of clients while adhering to USSEPM standards. Lead the preparation of quarterly progress reports. Regularly present SEPM and Impact outcomes to executive management and the Board of Directors to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff on social performance principles and client protection standards to foster a culture that drives impact. Attend regular scheduled check-in calls with relevant BI MF teams (Impact and SEPM, Product, Knowledge and Partnerships) and attend regular peer group meetings with focals from other countries to share updates, challenges, key learnings, and suggestions for improvement of strategic initiatives relating to the role. SAFEGUARDING: Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so. REQUIRED SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES: Must be a hard worker and be willing to travel more than 50% of the time. Experience to train people and apply best practices (in academic research, strategy or practical application). Experience implementing qualitative and quantitative research end to end. Experience working with a team from diverse cultures is preferred. Strong, proactive problem-solving and analytic skills, highly organized, strategic thinker with strong attention to detail. Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration and demonstrated ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to distill complex information into concise and pragmatic messages.
