Echographist Technician (Ultrasound Sonographer) / Technicien Echographiste (Sonographe)
Full-time role to perform ultrasound examinations, interpret findings within scope of practice, and draft high-quality reports. The successful candidate must be patient-centered, organized, and able to work effectively in a team. Key responsibilities: Perform obstetrical, gynecological, abdominal, abdomino-pelvic, soft tissue and other indicated ultrasound exams; Verify patient identity/indication, explain the procedure, and ensure privacy, comfort and dignity; Draft clear, accurate and timely ultrasound reports using a structured format; Escalate urgent/critical findings immediately to the clinician and document the communication; Apply infection prevention and control (IPC), including correct probe and room disinfection; Support equipment checks, consumables management, and collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth patient flow and service quality. Required profile: Diploma/Certificate in Ultrasound/Sonography, Medical Imaging or equivalent recognized qualification; Demonstrated competence in routine obstetric, gynecologic and abdominal ultrasound; experience in a clinic/hospital is an asset; Ability to produce high-quality written reports; attention to detail and good clinical terminology; Good communication skills with patients in French and English (bilingual is an advantage); Basic computer skills (typing, email, electronic reporting).
