The Microsoft Fabric Specialist’s role focuses on Microsoft Fabric and the data layer, ensuring reliable ingestion, governance, and usability of data across systems. DUTIES: Design and manage data pipelines into the data warehouse (Microsoft Fabric) Support the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) Ensure data integrity, validation, and anomaly detection across pipelines Implement data governance, lineage, and classification frameworks Work closely with BI and Analytics teams to support reporting and dashboards Manage integration between source systems and Fabric environment Implement data security and compliance controls Document REQUIREMENTS: 4+ years’ experience in data engineering or data architecture Strong experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms Strong SQL and data modelling skills Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks Advantageous: DP-700 (Fabric Data Engineer) DP-203 / DP-600 Experience with Power BI and analytics environments ATTRIBUTES: Strong analytical and data-focused mindset Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work across systems and teams Strong documentation and governance focus Desired Skills: Communication Data Engineering IT Governance Risk & Compliance About The Employer: Our client is a mission-driven conservation organisation focused on the management and rehabilitation of protected areas across Africa.
