This exciting role combines sales expertise with a deep understanding of the South African electricity market, regulatory frameworks, and energy trading models. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify opportunities, structure complex agreements, and build long-term partnerships that accelerate the transition to cleaner, smarter energy. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in energy sales, renewable energy, or related infrastructure sectors. Proven track record of closing high-value energy deals (wheeling or PPA sales advantageous). Strong understanding of South Africa’s energy market, regulatory environment, and wheeling mechanisms. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Projects. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. Main Responsibilities: Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for wheeling and large-scale energy supply agreements. Engage key stakeholders, including corporate clients, municipalities, Eskom, and regulatory bodies. Build and maintain strong client relationships to promote the company’s Virtual Power solutions. Develop tailored proposals and presentations based on client needs and financial goals. Negotiate and close complex supply agreements, ensuring profitability and long-term value. Collaborate with technical, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance and feasibility. Monitor market trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activity to shape strategy. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings. Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to management. Support solution design for virtual PPA, aggregation, and energy trading propositions.
