DHL Global Forwarding, the group's specialist in air, ocean, and road freight, is looking for a strategic leader to head its sales operations in Cameroon.
Role Overview:
As the Head of Sales, you will design and execute the national sales strategy to drive growth and profitability. Your focus will be on market acquisition, customer retention, and optimizing resources in alignment with DHL Group policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the country-level sales strategy and monitor performance against financial objectives.
• Market Growth: Drive acquisition and retention initiatives to maximize revenue and competitive positioning.
• Operational Excellence: Establish robust processes and infrastructure to enhance sales performance and cross-selling activities.
• Stakeholder Management: Negotiate critical contracts, manage key customer relationships, and collaborate with internal sales effectiveness teams.
• Innovation & Intelligence: Analyze industry trends and competitor activity to implement innovative solutions that boost revenue.
• Team Development: Lead, coach, and inspire the national sales team to achieve excellence.
Requirements:
• Education: Minimum of a BAC+3 (Bachelor’s Degree).
• Experience: Over 10 years of professional experience, with significant tenure in a Sales Management role.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in the logistics and freight forwarding sector.
• Skills:
  - Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.
  - Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  - Excellent communication (written and spoken) and presentation skills.
  - Analytical mindset with strong organizational and motivational capabilities.
