Laboratory Systems Strengthening Specialist

EVIHDAF is looking for a Laboratory Systems Strengthening Specialist for an upcoming Global Health Security (GHS) project funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The role involves overseeing lab systems strengthening efforts, collaborating with CDC country offices, Ministries of Health, national public health labs, and regional partners. Responsibilities include providing technical support for national and subnational labs to enhance capacity in detecting, confirming, and reporting high-threat pathogens, developing and implementing specimen handling and testing protocols, crafting national lab strategic plans, deploying Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring lab biosafety and biosecurity compliance, and building diagnostic networks incorporating One Health principles.
